He is also known as also known as Mike Batio or MAB. He was the lead guitarist for the glam metal band Nitro in the late 1980s. He is well-known for his technical mastery of the fretboard and his extremely fast picking. He was voted the “No. 1 Fastest Guitar Shredder of All Time” by Guitar One Magazine in 2003. He started his solo career since 1993. He founded his own record label, which also became one of the first labels online in 1996. In 2003, Batio released his first DVD, named Speed kills. He has been listed as one of the “Top 100 Greatest Metal Guitarists of All Time” by Guitar World Magazine and he also won the Guitar World Magazine Readers Choice Award.
Michael Angelo Batio is the inventor of the Double-Guitar, a V-shaped, twin-neck guitar which can be played both right and left-handed. He is the most loved guitarist and well-known for playing two guitars at a same time.
