Nepal Idol is the most watched reality show in the history of Nepali Television in which Buddha Lama has become the country’s very first idol winning the competition. The grand finale of Nepal Idol Franchise (originally by Simon Fuller) was successfully organized at Doha, Qatar on 22nd of September. The best three voices of the country collected a total of 9 crore, 31 lakh, 83 thousand three hundred and thirty five votes among which Buddha was able to get the most number of votes-4 crore, 48 lakh 48 thousand two hundred and sixty three making him the country’s very first idol. Nishan Bhattarai became the runner up getting a total of 3 crore 50 lakh 86 thousand two hundred and twenty three while Pratap Das got 1 crore, 32 lakh 51 thousand eight hundred and fourty nine.
Buddha Lama got Rs 20 lakh cash prize along with a Mahendra KUV 100 car and 15 lakh equivalent free album recording, Nishan Bhattarai got 15 lakh and Pratap Das got 10 lakhs as the prize money.
