Chepang is a Nepalese grind core band, based out of New York City (NYC) but with all of its members originally from Nepal. They had moved to NYC for further the career of their musical project. Chepang does the blasting with precision nut also shakes things up a bit to give their song distinctive identities and this make a significant difference.

A huge of attention has been paid to their debut EP “Lathi Charge” from Nerve Altar records, with music of it focusing on Nepalese roots and their sociopolitical lyrics.

And the crazy thing is, they have two drummers, those two drummers are for the most part playing the same thing. Only really during the drum fills does the listener even get a hint of multi-layered poly rhythm.

Chepang has performed in Nepal at Purple Haze Rock Bar, Thamel on July 29, 2017. They sang “Khatemandu” from  their new album. Have a look…!!!!
