Kathmandu- On 12th August 2023, yesterday, one of the very famous band of Nepal, Mukti and The Revival had performed live in Dubai. The guest band was Kavya. The door had opened from 8pm onwards and the venue is Club Yak and Yeti Everest Astoria Hotel, Burdubai.
Mukti Shakya founded the Nepali blues group Mukti and Revival in the early 1990s. Sunit Kansakar plays guitars, Roshan Kansakar plays bass, and Mukti Shakya plays vocals and guitars for the group. Nikhil Tuladhar plays drums.
Rock group Mukti and Revival is based in Kathmandu, Nepal. Since the previous three decades, the band has been rocking the country. By fusing American blues with Nepali traditional music, Mukti and Revival give their music a taste of the region. The band has made a name for themselves with songs about rural Nepalese communities, politics, bureaucracy, and love. Through their lyrics, the band aims to inspire a range of emotions in listeners of all ages. Their music satirises, questions, and brings attention to current social issues. The band has been attempting to bring back traditional charm in contemporary Nepali music since the 1990s.
