Nicki Minaj has dropped her first solo single in three years, the Rick James-sampled “Super Freaky Girl.”

Tearing off raunchy and seductive bars over the well-known throwback sample. Similarly, “Super Freaky Girl” gives off that confident, classic attitude found in Nicki’s 2014 hit “Anaconda. The song is co-produced by Aaron Joseph, Dr. Luke, Malibu Babie, and Vaughn Oliver and it features a sample from Rick James’ 1981 hit “Super Freak,”.

“Super Freaky Girl” marks the rapper’s first release since March’s “We Go Up” with Fivio Foreign. Before that came “Blick Blick” with Coi Leray, “Bussin” with Lil Baby, and “Do We Have A Problem?” with Lil Baby again — all released this year.

Earlier this month, she announced a new six-part documentary about her life and rise in Hip-Hop is on the way. She recently shared a trailer that showcases her in various growth stages as an unknown rapper struggling to make it, then as a successful superstar and one of the biggest names in pop music.
