Nepal’s first rap reality show ‘Nephop Ko Shreepech’ has been a hype lately. It looks quite promising and can be a great platform for struggling rappers. The reality show has received around 8000 contestants on its auditions. In Itahari audition, we got to see amazing performance by Sashi Mandal from Jhapa.
Sashi Mandal was about to pack his bags and leave the country for Foreign Employment but his decision was halted by the show ‘Nephop Ko Shreepech’. He performed his version of Tribute to YamaBudha’s ‘Saathi’ reply of what YamaBudha would sing after his demise. He is hugely inspired by late legendary rappeer YamaBudha . His grand mother explains his passion for music as he wakes upp at 3 am to practise for his rap, works the whole day and again goes back to practise at night after returning home.
His rap is admired and appreciated by a lot of rap fans from Nepal. His rap was equally amazing, inspiring and emotional. We wish him all the best for his journey of ‘Nephop ko Shreepech’. You can watch his performance here;
