Led Zeppelin were an English rock band formed in London in 1968. The group consisted of guitarist Jimmy Page, singer Robert Plant, bassist and keyboardist John Paul Jones, and drummer John Bonham. Led Zeppelin are widely considered one of the most successful, innovative, and influential rock groups in history. They are one of the best-selling music artists in the history of audio recording. The group disbanded following Bonham’s death from alcohol-related asphyxia in 1980.
The following video is of 2012 Kennedy Center Honors which was given to Led Zeppelin. This award is given to those in the performing arts for their lifetime of contributions to American culture (though recipients do not need to be U.S. citizens). Here in the video, Ann and Nancy Wilson from Heart perform a triumphant “Stairway to Heaven” as a tribute to 2012 Kennedy Center Honorees Led Zeppelin. Here, the drummer is Bonham’s Son, Jason Bonham’s.
So this video is really emotional for all of the people watching this, especially the former band members.
