Nishan Bhujel, 17 years old self-taught Nepali filmmaker is able to achieve that victory which many experienced in this field haven’t been able to. The song “Firse Machayenge” which is Filmed, Directed, and edited by this young talent has crossed over 200M views on YouTube.
While all the teens were addicted to the social media world Nishan was connected to it in another way. Nishan was attached to travel vlogs, short movies, and learning how to write a script and edit videos even before he had a professional gadget in his hand. Discovering his talent, his father bought him DSLR after his SEE. Ever since his real journey started. As he had already gained basic knowledge, he started filming vlogs and posting them in his Instagram account.
Straightway, his works came to focus and he had the chance to work with various Nepali artists. He has worked with Manas Ghale, who’s been on the Nepali hip-hop industry for two decades now. He has also worked for other new artists Chirag khadka aka5:55 and many other Rappers like Tyrant, Honey, Nati, etc.
As he has accomplished much in such a short time, but he had more in mind, and his dream came into reality when he emailed Indian famous Indian rapper Emiway Bantai was coming to Nepal. He sent the samples of his work to Emiway seeking permission to shoot a behind the scene video of his show. Impressed by his work Emiway replied to him back asking if he was interested in filming his upcoming project CHECKMATE instead.
After a few days, he sent the final edit. Fascinated by his work, Emiway sent him a plane ticket asking him to come to Mumbai to work on other projects. He worked with 7 projects altogether with him which holds millions of views on YouTube. Among all His latest creation Firse Machayenge has crossed over 200M views recently which is ofcourse proud moments for us.
As for many teens whatever he has achieved is more than enough but for Nishan its just a learning phase. He claims he is still a learner and has more to acquire. He wants to make both features and short films and he’s currently learning how to write better scripts. He has just published his short film “Starving” which seriously expresses too much in five minutes, it’s hilarious.
