Kylie Jenner has come under fire after making a cameo appearance in Cardi B‘s new music video for her single ‘WAP‘. The reality TV star is barely in the video, but her brief appearance has caused outrage among some of Cardi‘s fans. With the Jenner family having previously been accused of appropriating black culture on multiple occasions, Cardi‘s fans didn’t take too kindly to multi-millionaire Kylie being given a role in the video.
Many took to social media to share their displeasure:
One person wrote: “Kylie Jenner was just unnecessary on the Cardi B/ Megan Thee Stallion music video and that’s the nicest way I can put it.”
It has also led to someone creating a petition to have Jenner removed from the video entirely. Petition to get Kylie removed from the video picked up more than 64,000 signatures in just three days.
Cardi B has spoken out after thousands signed a petition urging Kylie Jenner to be edited out of the WAP music video. In response to a tweet from one person, Cardi wrote: “Why did I put Kylie on my music video? She treated my sister and daughter so lovely at her kid bday party.”
