Robert Anthony Plant, is an English singer, songwriter, and musician, best known as the lead singer and lyricist of the rock band Led Zeppelin. A powerful and wide vocal range has given him a successful singing career spanning over 50 years. Plant is regarded as one of the greatest singers in the history of rock and roll; he has influenced fellow rock singer-songwriters such as Freddie Mercury, Axl Rose and Chris Cornell In 2006.
October 12, 2017, Plant released his 11th solo album, “Carry Fire”, is his second with his able backing band The Sensational Space Shifters. With its Moog synthesiser, Arabic and African tropes, and its blues, folk and electronica elements, the record is exactly the kind of cross-cultural smorgasbord Plant watchers have come to expect.
