Narayan Gopal Music Trust situated at the residence of Swor Samrat Narayan Gopal has always been organizing events on his memorial day. Narayan Gopal entitled to “Tragedy King” has hundred of evergreen songs, especially love songs, by his name. He was one of the perfectionist singers of Nepal who always sang songs worth singing. The results of his preference are the songs, “Parkhi Base”, “Yo Samjhine Mann Chha”, “Aankha Chhopi Narou Bhani”, “Kehi Mitho”, “Euta Manchhe Ko Maya Le”, “Timro Jasto Mutu”, “Aljhechha Kyare Pachhyauri”, “Malai Nasodha”, and the list goes forever.
The singer Gopal was born to Asha Gopal Guruwacharya (father) and Ram Devi Guruacharya (mother) on October 4, 1939. He breathed his last on December 5, 1990 (Mangsir 19, 2047 BS) from the complications of diabetes.
The events organized by the trust have programmes where various singers perform and many personalities related to music are awarded the “Narayan Gopal Memorial Award”.
On his death anniversary, many singers pay tribute to him. Recently, the pop icon Sugam Pokharel has composed a song called “Shraddheya Narayan Gopal” as a tribute to him.
