BB King, born as Riley B King, on September 16, 1925 is considered as ‘King of Blues’. BB stands of ‘Blues Boy’. He and his guitar ‘Lucille’ were a complete package that made his blues music recognized and loved by all. He introduced a very different string bending and vibrato in his songs. Also, he is popular on playing vocals with guitar. He has 30 Grammy Awards Nominations, and won 15 of them. He also has a Lifetime Achievement Award. He is the source of inspiration of many successor blues guitarists. Some of his popular songs are The Thrill is Gone, You’re Gonna Miss Me, Lucille, My Guitar Sings the Blues, Why I Sing the Blues, Rock Me Baby, and many more. Eric Clapton accompanied him in the album Riding with the King. King died at the age of 89 on May 14, 2015 in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States.
