Joe Satriani, without any doubt, is one of the most influential and respected guitarists of all time. He is a core member of the rock supergroup Chickenfoot (with Sammy Hagar, Michael Anthony and Chad Smith) as well as founder of the highly successful G3 tours Born on 15th July, 1956 Joe Satriani got inspired to play guitar from the age of 14 after hearing of the death of Jimi Hendrix. He is a 15 times nominee of grammy awards and is the biggest selling instrumental rock guitarist of all time having sold over 10 million albums.
Joe also worked as a guitar instructor early in his career with today’s guitar heroes like Steve Vai, Krik Hammet, Larry La Londe, Andy Timmons, Rick Hummolt,Charlie Hunter, Kevin Cadogan and Alex Skolnick being his students. So, he is also called as “the musicain’s musician”.
