Kali Prasad Baskota has been also placed as judge in first three seasons of Nepal idol. He has many hit songs such as ‘Nira Jaalma’, Thamel Bazar, Maya Pirati, Sali Man Paryo, Pirati Ko Barko, etc. He is often considered as one of the best music composer of Nepali music industry.He began his music career in 2007/8 as a lyricist and composer for Sashi Rawal’s song Chahana Sakiyo Bahana Sakiyo. Some of his earlier hits include Laija Re, which was sung by Hemant Rana, and Bida nai deu baru, which was sung by Azad Dhungana. After the first week of its release, his 2017 song Saili, sung by Hemant Rana, was trending worldwide at No. 14 on YouTube. He composed songs for feature films such as Jaalma, Nira, Lappan Chappan, Panchi, and Daiba. Hey. Kali made his singing debut with the song Jaalma from the film Resham filili, which is one of the most popular songs in the Nepali film industry.
