The popular Nepali singers Pratap Das and Melina Rai have come up with a new song “Kasari” on Friday, November 20. B. Pandey has penned the lyrics for the song and Subash Bhusal has composed the music. Similarly, Uday Raj Poudel has arranged it.
Likewise, the music video features Demon Karki, Samjhana Rimal, Rashmi Bhatta and Madan Century. The dramatic video shows problems of poverty and caste discrimination in society. The song depicts its message through the representation of two star-crossed lovers.
Talking about the singers, Pratap Das started his musical career from the singing reality show “Nepal Idol”. However, the singer had previously been in another singing reality show “Nepal Tara” which didn’t put him into the limelight as “Nepal Idol” did. Das became the second runner up in that show. The talented singer has sung a number of songs such as “Motorcycle Ma”, “Phool Hoina”, “Jhyam Jhyam”, “Jaba Jaba Timi Sath”, etc.
In a similar way, Melina Rai also doesn’t need an introduction. She is one of the busiest singers in the Nepali music scene. Her recent songs are “Sakhar Chini”, “Gulelima”, “Aauna Maya”, etc.
