Kathmandu- The oldest member of the K-pop sensation BTS, Jin, was scheduled to start his mandatory military service on Tuesday at a facility near the North Korean border as rumors regarding the band’s future grew more and more intense. Before being assigned to a unit to finish his 18-month term, Jin will spend five weeks in an army boot camp in Yeoncheon, which is close to the heavily fortified border with North Korea.
BTS members would probably be able to continue practicing and return to the group for international tours if they join the military, according to comments made in August by Defense Minister Lee Jong-sup.
