A popular Indian rapper who goes by Sidhu Moose Wala (real name Shubhdeep Singh) was reportedly gunned down near his home in Punjab. According to Rolling Stone, the 28-year-old rapper-turned-politician was fatally shot by assailants while driving through the Mansa district.
In just four years, Sidhu Moose Wala has acquired over four billion YouTube views. He was rated one of the top new artists by The Guardian in 2020, and he was quickly followed by Drake. In an Instagram Story, the Toronto rap singer paid tribute to the dead musician by posting a snapshot of Moose Wala sporting a red turban. “RIP MOOSE @sidhu moosewala,” he wrote beneath the photo.
