Anticipated number of crowds… waving the national flag, singing along with the band, the night was as legendary as it was meant to be. let’s see a few musical moments of the night captured in a reel.
The event was held on April 9th starting from 7:00 PM at L.O.D, Thamel. “Live with legend“, performed by the legendary band 1974 AD who was been rocking our playlist as well as staged Since their origin in 1994.
1974 AD has been known for songs that brought Nepalese together. The band has been able to set a benchmark in introducing Nepal to blues, rock, funk, reggae, and jazz, but with unquestionable Nepali flavor.
Most of their albums are ranked among the top-ten best-selling albums according to Hits FM of Nepal. In 2000, their concert, ‘Rock Yatra,’ was watched by more than 60,000 people, the largest attendance for a concert in Nepal. Again the band proved they still are on the game.
The band was accompanied by Manose Singh, a former band member who gave life to songs like “Pinjada Ko Suga” and “Samjhi Baschhu” with his flute skill. He was the first Nepalese musician to be nominated for the prestigious Grammy Award ‘Best New Age Album of The Year’ under the Contemporary Instrumental Music Category from his contribution track on the album ‘Deva’. which he produced in collaboration with German musician Deva Premal and England’s Miten.
