Anuprastha live at Nepalgunj this Baishakh 30

Nepali new year 2079 is super near and many bands are announcing their live performances for the occasion. Recently, Nepali rock band Anuprastha has also announced its live performance at Nepalgunj this New year eve. The band is performing alongside other bands such as The Rhythm Band, The Paradise Band and other local artists at MP School, Nepalgunj.

When the band  members were in college, they formed the band in 2004. Neran Shahi (vocals and guitar), Jimi Joshi (bass), Govin Sunuwar (guitar), Bibek Tamang (drums), and Sundar Maharjan (madal/percussion) make up the band. They have given us with amazing albums like, ‘What to do Kathmandu(2005)’.

At high school, a group of friends from various backgrounds meet and bond over their shared musical passion. Then they establish a band to perform for the freshmen at the school, and that’s it. The band clicks right away and begins performing live. It wins a major music competition in a few years and goes on to become one of the most successful bands in the country in a few more years. Its a super amazing feeling for a Nepali music fan to see Nepali bands progressing like this and segregating their performances all wide the country. Nepalgunj must be really ready and excited to welcome Anuprastha in their city.
