Cardi B’s debut album, Invasion of Privacy, set four world records.
It won the Grammy for Best Rap Album, making Bacardi the first and only woman to do so as a solo artist. Cardi B broke two Billboard world records set by Beyonce: the most simultaneous Billboard Hot 100 entries by a female singer and the most simultaneous Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Top 10 entries by a woman. Cardi B became the second rapper to top the Billboard Hot 100 chart with a solo single, following Lauryn Hill in 1998 with “Doo Wop (That Thing).” It spent three weeks at the top, tying it with Taylor Swift’s song “Look What You Made Me Do” for the longest run of a woman at the top in 2017.
Cardi B is the first female artist to be awarded the Grammy for Best Rap Album.
In 2019, Cardi B became the first solo female singer to win the Best Rap Album at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards and was achieved with her debut album ‘Invasion of Privacy,’ which was released on 5 April 2018. The New York rapper is the first female musician to have all singles from an album certified gold or higher by the RIAA.
