Arun Thapa is one of the Legendary singers of Nepal. He was born in Calcutta, India in 1952 but studied and grew up in Kathmandu, Nepal. He was one of the most influential romantic singers of his time. Arun Thapa started singing during his college times where he fell in love with a girl. Most of his songs are about love and affection. He had launched two music albums: Arun and The best of Arun. Both of the albums were very popular among the Nepalese music listeners.
Songs like “ritu haruma timi”, “jati maya laye pani”, “akha ko nid”are some of his evergreen songs. Suffering from liver and lungs problems, Thapa died in 1999 at the age of 47. Although he is not with us anymore his works have made him immortal.
