One of the best gems of Madan Krishna Shrestha and Hari Bansha Acharya, or collectively known as “Maha Jodi”, “Sur Besur” is uploaded on their official YouTube channel. Previously, the series was uploaded in 2 parts, however, they were removed for quite some time. Now, the series is available in 30 minutes episodes.
The series incorporates many issues in its episodes. Firstly, it describes the miserable life of the musicians and singers at the time. Secondly, it also reflects the negative impacts of politics and power over the music industry. Not only this but also this series can be closely related to the disgraceful and sorrowful mishap that happened with the legendary singer Bhakta Raj Acharya at the time.
In the show, Madan Krishna Shrestha plays the role of a music instructor who sings hymns in different religious events. Likewise, Hari Bansha Acharya plays the role of a hooligan whose father played by Rajaram Poudel is a powerful politician. Late Shrisha Karki has played the role of a student with whom the character played by Acharya flirts with.
