The halted singing reality show “Nepal Idol” due to the lockdown and the coronavirus pandemic has been resumed on Thursday. Currently, season 3 of the show is ongoing. AP1 television aired the last episode of the show on March 18, 2020. Five days later, the nationwide lockdown was issued by the Government of Nepal. In Thursday’s show, the top four contestants performed their selected songs.

Up to the last show, top 4 contestants were left in the competition, whereas there was a battle ongoing for the fifth position by the eliminated contestant inside the top 12. The contenders for the fifth position, Megha Shrestha, Kiran K Bhujel, Rachana Rimal, Mamata Gurung and Mingma Lama, performed on the last episode which was 28th episode. However, Muskan Ranabhat was unable to perform on the show because of her personal issue. At the time, four contestants, Kevin Glan Tamang, Neshan Pun Magar, Pravin Bedwal and Sajja Chaulagain were already safe.

In the episode, it is announced that Kiran Kumar Bhujel re-enters the competition from wild-card method.
