It all started when Tye Trujillo began playing bass at age 6 and is influenced by bassists like Jaco Pastorius. Tye is the son of Metallica bassist Robert Trujilo. He came in spot light after he did a band tour with Korn replacing “Fieldy”. Korn’s regular bassist, Fieldy Arvizu, is unable to to attend for reasons unspecified. The band’s Facebook announcement — which also explained, “We are bummed Fieldy can’t join us on this run but excited to do a few gigs with a young player like Tye. We look forward to welcoming our brother Fieldy back when we return to the States in May.
This little kid has all the groove and skills, pretty kick-ass headbanger hair and thats enough to get the fans pumped up. Tye Trujillo gave his Solo Bass performance at Teatro Caupolicán, Santiago, Chile 2017 which is insane. At this age its not so common to have such great skills. As we can see the crowd was enjoying his playing. Looks like the fans of Korn are satisfied with this little kid presence. Enjoy the video.
