Gadhimai once used to be a very bizarre ritual in Nepal where around 2 million to 5 million of animals were slaughter at a time as a devotion to goddess Gadhimai. The mass sacrifice ceremony took place once in every 5 years at Gadhimai Temple in Bariyapur, Nepal.
The ritual was last held in the year 2014 and since 2015 it is announced to ban the massive slaughter ritual which really is a good thing. Regarding this the legendary band ‘Underside’ has released their official music video “Gadhimai” on May 7, Tuesday.
The undoubtedly one of the most successful and renowned metal band of Nepal ‘Underside’ has always been against violence and abuse of innocent animals. Since 2019 is the year of Gadhimai ‘Underside’ released this intense metal version song on “Gadhimai” through their official Youtube page. The music video is against the Gadhimai Festival, where thousands of animals are sacrificed in the name of god.
