Astha Tamang-Maskey is an indie alternative pop singer/songwriter. Born in Kathmandu, Nepal and now based in Toronto, Canada. The charismatic singer comes to the stage with an organic sound backed by her acoustic guitar and carefully crafted minimalistic beats. Astha’s music is melodic, direct and emotional, with lyrics that attempt to explore the depths of the human psyche: spirit, mind, and emotions. Her music echoes influences from various genres such as pop, folk and R&B and draws inspiration from the work of forward-thinking songwriters like Jhene Aiko, Yuna, Ben Harper, John Mayer, Daniel Caesar, Alina Baraz and Wafia, to name a few. Astha—her name itself means “faith,” and her faith is in music.

Astha’s latest EP has been released, “More and Muse” two of the first three singles and the third one is “slated” releasing soon. These beautiful songs show that her music has matured significantly over the years as she has become a versatile singer.
